NAVA Reports Q3 2003 Variable Annuity Data

The National Association for Variable Annuities (NAVA) announced today third quarter results for the variable annuity industry. The combined net assets of U.S. variable annuities increased 3.9 percent to $915 billion at the end of the third quarter, as compared to the end of the second quarter of 2003. Net assets increased by 20.9 percent relative to the third quarter a year ago.

NAVA Reports Q2 2003 Variable Annuity Data

The National Association for Variable Annuities (NAVA) announced today second quarter results for the variable annuity industry. The combined net assets of U.S. variable annuities increased 10.6 percent to $880.1 billion at the end of the second quarter, as compared to the end of the first quarter of 2003. Net assets increased by 6.0 percent relative to the second quarter a year ago.

Americans for Secure Retirement

In 2003, NAVA joined with the ACLI and the Committee of Annuity Insurers to form Americans for Secure Retirement (ASR).

NAVA Supports House Bill

A new measure which encourages workers to annuitize a portion of their retirement savings was introduced in the House of Representatives on Thursday, June 12, 2003, by Congressmen Earl Pomeroy (D-ND), Johnny Isakson (R-GA), Phil English (R-PA), and Rob Andrews (D-NJ).

The National Association for Variable Annuities (NAVA) announced today first quarter results for the variable annuity industry. The combined net assets of U.S. variable annuities was $796.1 billion at the end of the first quarter, level with the fourth quarter of 2002. Net assets decreased by 10.7 percent relative to the first quarter a year ago.
